After two smash performances on the BBC Radio 1 Dance stage at Reading & Leeds Festivals overseas last week, the 21-year-old Charlotte Aitchison (aka Charli XCX) reveals the revised routing for her first ever proper North American headline tour—which includes a handful of new dates in Seattle and Washington, DC. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured and most dates are available now for purchase viahttp://tixx1.artistarena.com/charlixcx/.
Charli confesses, “I’m excited. I think these shows are going to be the best shows I’ve ever done. I’ve got THAT feeling. It’s weird.” And will be taking out support acts on select dates including: LA-based indie rock band Kitten(Elektra Records), LIZ (Mad Decent), and UK-based producer and DJ, TWIN iDol, whom she collaborated with on a vibey remix of UK/Basque-based Crystal Fighters’ “Wave” out on September 23rd via Beatport and October 8th on all other digital service providers.
So far, it’s been a dashing year for indie icon Charli XCX—releasing her breakthrough debut album “TRUE ROMANCE” (via IAMSOUND) to rave reviews, including a ‘Best New Music’ mark from Pitchfork; having written her first double-platinum selling track, ‘I Love It’ for Swedish duo Icona Pop, and now a major touring schedule across both sides of the pond (see full itinerary below). On top of that, Charli is in the studio writing and working on her sophomore album, so stay tuned for more music soon!
