New York – After a successful three-year run at NYC’s Bar Nine, Broadway’s Donnie Kehr, is celebrating his final stand there on Saturday, March 16.
Broadway-veteran Kehr (who starred in Broadway’s Jersey Boys; Billy Elliot and The Who’s Tommy) looks back on his stint there as an extended Broadway-run. The self-taught piano-man also had many of his bold-faced named friends stop by, including Charlie Sheen, Chad Lowe, Broadway’s Ryann Redmond (Olaf in Frozen n Broadway), Jen Perry (Kinky Boots), TONY-nominee Constantine Maroulis and some Jersey Boys alumni, including TONY-nominated J. Robert Spencer.
While he may not be playing piano in New York, he will be in Las Vegas for the next month (at the Flamingo), performing in his Greatest Piano Men show-which he co-created with legendary producer Steve Leber.
“From Beethoven to Billy it’s both a show and a history lesson. With an 8-piece band and 3 pianos on stage I perform a rock ’n roll salute to the great piano icons in music history.”
Kehr also heads up the PATH Fund and last year’s celebration had Kehr performing with The Who’s Pete Townshend.
