On Monday, March 3, the ever-youthful Mary Wilson of The Supremes celebrated her 70th (can you believe it?) birthday, at a gala party hosted by her friend, author Mark Bego. Held at Nic’s Martini Lounge in Beverly Hills, California, 75 friends, family, and well-wishers came to help Mary celebrate this milestone. Included in the list of parting pals were Lily Tomlin, Rita Coolidge, Betty Kelley of The Vandellas, Brenda Russell, music insiders Beth Wernick and Ken Reynolds, and Glen Campbell’s daughter Debby Campbell. Campbell and Bego are the authors of the forthcoming book “Life With My Father: Glen Campbell” (Omnibus Books), due in stores in April. Mary will continue celebrating all week, as her actual birthday is March 6, so she certainly kicked off the event in style!
