Grammy-nominated country music star Kelsea Ballerini is set to perform at the 43rd Annual Gracie Awards on May 22 at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. The Gracie Awards, presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF), honor outstanding individual achievement and programming by, for and about women.
Nick Offerman Jon Cryer, Shaun Robinson, Erica Hill, and Toni Trucks are set to take stage as presenters and additional attendees of the annual fete include Megan Mullally, Mary Louise Kelly, Robin Thede, Zerlina Maxwell, Jessica McIntosh, Tracey Wigfield, Shirley Strawberry, Rachel Nelson, Salma Abdelaziz, Paula Malcomson, Pam Oliver, and many more. They will join previously announced honoree Rita Moreno, recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Norman Lear, and host of the evening Lisa Joyner.
“As a songwriter and artist, I’m continuing to learn to be a woman in media by watching some of my favorite artists, TV anchors and other strong and empowered women in the media,” said Ballerini. “I’m so honored to be a part of an event recognizing them.”
Now one of country music’s biggest stars, Ballerini skyrocketed to stardom after releasing PLATINUM-certified, #1 smashes – “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs,” “Peter Pan” – from her GOLD-certified breakout THE FIRST TIME (Black River Entertainment). The record-breaker is the only female artist in Country music history to reach #1 with her first three consecutive singles from a debut album. Poised to follow in the success, Ballerini’s acclaimed sophomore album UNAPOLOGETICALLY features GOLD-certified, #1 hit “Legends” and current chart rising single “I Hate Love Songs.” Fresh off her sold-out headline THE UNAPOLOGETICALLY TOUR, Ballerini is prepping to hit the road this summer as Keith Urban’s special guest on the GRAFFITI U WORLD TOUR. Scoring multiple Radio Disney Music Awards plus several breakthrough female awards from ACM and CMT, she’s currently vying for Top Country Female Artist at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.
