Former Fortune-500 exec turned songwriter Mike Greenly was moved Sunday night when Golden Globe-winner Peter Farrelly (for his Green Book movie) used the phrase common ground in his acceptance speech. Greenly’s song, “Common Ground” – just released via Brit-singer Sam Stevens – asks within his lyrics for us all to find common ground.
Greenly, who has penned four #1 Billboard Dance hits, says, “‘Common Ground’ is a song that comes straight from my heart … and life story. I’m touched and encouraged to see – at a time of great division in the country – the impulse to bring us all (constructively and supportively) together. May it be so.”
Greenly, who co-penned the song with Gil Polk, has announced the release of “Common Ground” from Sam Stevens.
The song was remixed by award-winning DJ/producer DJ Tony Moran.
Greenly has penned hits by Kimberly Davis and Jason Walker and is the author of Virginia’s Official Traditional State Song (as of 2015) and has new songs being released in 2019.
