Crucified (La Petite Mort),” the scorching rock ballad by singer-songwriter Mary Lyn Maiscott, is now available for streaming, for a limited time, on Soundcloud:

The song appears on the recently released EP “Crucified”—a Vanity Fair Twitter pick—along with the folk-rock “Time,” also currently streaming on Soundcloud.

A veteran NYC rocker, Mary Lyn has appeared at CBGB’s, Folk City, the Bitter End, Ella Lounge, and other venues. The Ohio radio talk-show host Louie Free has called her song “Blue Lights” a “new Christmas classic,” and her songs have been played by radio DJ’s in the U.S., Mexico, and France.

Mary Lyn is also a journalist whose work has appeared in Vanity Fair, The Village Voice,, and other publications and Web sites. She has interviewed many prominent musicians, including Debbie Harry, Linda Ronstadt, and Rickie Lee Jones.

She is married to Robert Rosen, author of “Nowhere Man: The Final Days of John Lennon” and “Beaver Street: A History of Modern Pornography.”
